I've been brainstorming a short story to offer free to my readers. It will be in the viewpoint of one of the X Marks the Spot treasure hunters. I've always been fascinated by what people have found when they use metal detectors. X Marks the Spot is the fictional YouTube channel of three women who hunt for treasure all over the United States and return to Bear Lake several times in my novels. In May, 2026, two metal-detecting hobbyists found gold bracelets (torcs) in a plowed field in Blackford, near Carlisle, England. The X girls in my novels search for Butch Cassidy's bank loot, a treasure box full of gold and jewels, and even Bigfoot in my Escape to Bear Lake series.
